We left Chicago for Las Vegas with everything we had packed into the car—our belongings, our cat, and the shape of a life in transition. These film photographs hold fragments of that journey: views through the window, roadside stops, rock formations, forests, and a lake.

Window edges, mirrors, roadside stops, forests, rock formations, and a lake break the journey into fragments. Paired exposures let separate moments occupy the same remembered space.
